FAQs

Delta 8

What is Delta 8 THC?

Delta 8 THC (aka D8)is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in the hemp plant, and it results from oxidized delta 9 THC. It’s psychoactive, but it’s not as psychoactive as delta 9 THC, and many people love its milder ‘high’.

How is Delta 8 Produced?

To make delta 8, you need to rearrange the molecules in CBD, as the two cannabinoids are isomers of one another. Delta 8 exists in such trace levels that to isolate a good amount of it, you’d need to extract it from an unreasonable amount of plant material. First, CBD is isolated using a steam distillation process, and then the CBD is turned into delta 8 through isomerization.

What are the Effects of Delta 8?

Delta 8 is about 30% milder than delta 9 THC, so the high isn’t as strong. People say it’s a fairly clear-minded ‘high’, and even describe it as very calming. Many people also say that it gives them relief from things like stress and physical discomfort. Of course, it can be different for everyone based on things like genetics, tolerance, and metabolism.

What are Some Popular Types of Delta 8 THC Products?

Delta 8 comes in a variety of product types, just like all cannabinoids. These include: • Vape carts • Disposable vapes • Flower • Pre-rolls • Gummies • Tinctures We always encourage our customers to explore different product types to find what they prefer, as each product type has its own way of delivering a dreamy delta 8 high.

Is HHC-R Legal, and Will it Stay Legal?

Delta 8 THC is legal under federal law, as the law requires that delta 8 products contain a maximum of 0.3% delta 9 THC. But, some states have banned delta 8 products, and because of that, we urge you to check with your state’s laws before trying to make a purchase.

What are Some Popular HHC-R Strains?

Delta 8 products come in any strain under the sun, but these strains seem to really complement the cannabinoid’s effects: • Pineapple Express • Birthday Cake • Blue Dream • Gorilla Glue

How Much Delta 8 Should I Take?

Even though delta 8 is milder than delta 9 THC, we do recommend that you go easy if you’re a total beginner to intoxicating cannabinoids – following the directions to make sure you get your dosing right. As time goes on, you can build up your dosage as your tolerance increases.

Delta 9

What is Delta 9 THC?

Delta 9 THC is the most well-known cannabinoid of all-time – after all, it’s the cannabinoid that makes weed intoxicating. It also exists in hemp, but only in trace levels.

How is Delta 9 Produced?

Delta 9 is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in the hemp plant, so it doesn’t need to be synthesized. But, because delta 9 exists in only trace amounts in hemp, delta 9 distillate is made through isomerization – in other words, rearranging the molecules in CBD distillate to turn it into delta 9, as the cannabinoids are isomers of one another.

What are the Effects of Delta 9?

Delta 9 is a very popular cannabinoid that is responsible for most of the effects we get from weed, like its very euphoric yet relaxingly blissful ‘high’. People also describe finding relief from things like physical discomfort, poor sleep, irritability, cramps, poor appetite, nausea, and stress.

What are Some Popular Types of Delta 9 THC Products?

You’re most likely going to find delta 9 products in gummy form, since this allows companies to meet legal standards while ensuring that the product’s serving size is large enough to offer a generous amount of delta 9 THC. But, like with any other cannabinoid, delta 9 can be added in distillate form to any product type, including vapes, tinctures, etc.

Is Delta 9 THC Legal, and Will it Stay Legal?

Delta 9 THC is legal under federal law, as long as it’s present in concentrations no greater than 0.3% per dry weight of the product. The delta 9 products sold at Wild Orchard are 100% compliant with the law.

How Much Delta 9 Should I Take?

The delta 9 products that we carry come in gummy form, which makes it super easy to dose. Simply follow the directions on the label, and simply take the number of gummies you desire to get the level of potency you’re looking for. Each gummy contains an equal number of milligrams of delta 9.

Can I Get Too High from Delta 9 Products?

There is such a thing as getting “too high,” which is more of a potential issue if you have a very low tolerance. Generally, taking a higher dose of delta 9 than recommended may cause paranoia, anxiety, grogginess, and dizziness, so it’s best to stick to the directions on the label for proper dosing.

Will Delta 9 Products Make Me Fail a Drug Test?

The delta 9 that comes from hemp is the same delta 9 that’s found in marijuana, so be mindful that taking our delta 9 products can cause a failed drug test result.

HHC-R

What is HHC-R?

HHC-R is the purest form of HHC (hexahydrocannabinol), the naturally occurring THC analog found in the seeds and pollen of the hemp plant. HHC-R is the stereoisomer of HHC that attaches to cannabinoid receptors, as HHC is actually made up of 2 stereoisomers, the other of which doesn’t attach to cannabinoid receptors at all. Basically, this means that HHC-R is a much more potent form of HHC.

How is HHC-R Produced?

Making HHC-R requires a process called isomerization. HHC-R is such a minor cannabinoid that to extract it meaningfully from cannabis would cost too much time, money, and labor. Instead, a CBD distillate is made, through the use of steam at varying levels of pressure and heat to purify cannabidiol. Then, the molecules of CBD are rearranged to convert it into HHC-R, since the two cannabinoid are isomers of one another.

What are the Effects of HHC-R?

HHC is already known to behave almost exactly like delta 9 since the two cannabinoids are so chemically similar. HHC-R just offers a more potent form of HHC, so it’s a lot like a really strong version of delta 9 THC. People call the high uplifting and relaxing at the same time, and the body high can be very soothing. Some people say that HHC-R gives them relief from physical discomfort, nausea, stress, and poor appetite, as well.

What are Some Popular Types of HHC-R Products?

HHC-R comes in a variety of product types, just like all cannabinoids. These include: • Vape carts • Disposable vapes • Flower • Gummies • Tinctures But, most people like to vape HHC-R, because the effects hit the fastest and strongest when the cannabinoid is inhaled into the lungs. Another plus is that HHC-R vapes come in all kinds of enticing strain options.

Is HHC-R Legal, and Will it Stay Legal?

HHC-R is legal under federal law, because it contains a maximum of 0.3% delta 9 THC and comes from hemp, as federal law requires. But, some states have banned intoxicating cannabinoids like HHC-R, so please check with your state laws to make sure you can legally buy HHC-R products where you live.

What are Some Popular HHC-R Strains?

What are Some Popular HHC-R Strains? HHC-R can be combined with any terpene profile to offer all kinds of strain options, but some popular strains with which to pair HHC-R include: • Jack Herer • Pineapple Express • Mimosa

What’s a Good Amount of HHC-R to Take?

If you’re going to be giving HHC-R a try for the first time, it’s best to stick to one puff, since this cannabinoid may be noticeably more potent than what you’re used to. With time, your tolerance will build so that you can take more HHC-R as desired.

HHC

What is HHC?

HHC, or hexahydrocannabinol, is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in the hemp plant’s seeds and pollen, which is a hydrogenated analog of delta 9 THC. Chemically, it’s almost identical to delta 9, which is why its effects are so similar. HHC may be a natural component of cannabis, but it was only discovered within the last several years.

How is HHC Produced?

HHC is produced through a process called isomerization. HHC exists in such trace amounts of hemp that to extract it into a meaningful amount of distillate would be too time-consuming and costly. Instead, companies make a CBD distillate, which is an isolated extract of the plant’s dominant chemical compound, through the use of steam at varying levels of pressure and heat. From there, CBD is converted into HHC by rearranging CBD’s molecules, as the two compounds are isomers of one another.

What are the Effects of HHC?

HHC behaves a lot like delta 9 THC, because of their chemical similarities. People say that the high is super similar – uplifting yet calming, with a nice body high to complement the cerebral effects. People also say that taking HHC gives them relief from physical tension and stress, as well as nausea, and that it helps improve appetite.

What are Some Popular Types of HHC Products?

HHC comes in a variety of product types, just like all cannabinoids. These include: • Vape carts • Disposable vapes • Flower • Gummies • Tinctures But, most people do prefer vaping HHC, since it produces the strongest and fastest-acting effects, and because both HHC vape cartridges and disposables come in a wide variety of strains.

Is HHC Legal, and Will it Stay Legal?

HHC is legal under federal law, as the law says that hemp products can be sold legally as long as they contain a maximum of 0.3% delta 9 THC. But, certain states have banned the cannabinoid, so please check with your local laws before making a purchase.

What are Some Popular HHC Strains?

HHC can be combined with any terpene profile to offer all kinds of strain options, but some popular strains with which to pair HHC include: • Mad Honey • Butterfly Effect • Alien Piss • Chunky Skunk • Venom Cocktail

How Much HHC Should You Take?

When it comes to dosing, we recommend comparing your HHC dosage to delta 9 THC. In other words, if you have a low tolerance to delta 9, go easy with HHC, and if you’re a seasoned connoisseur, go ahead and take as much HHC as you’re comfortable with in one sitting. It’s always recommended that you start slow when trying a new cannabinoid.

THCa

What is THCa?

THCa, or tetrahydrocannabinolic aid, is a naturally occurring cannabinoid in raw cannabis. It’s the precursor to delta 9 THC, prior to decarboxylation – in other words, the heating of cannabis to activate its cannabinoids, turning THCa into delta 9 THC.

How is THCa Produced?

THCa is naturally abundant in marijuana, but in hemp, it’s found only in trace amounts. It’s common to extract CBDa, the precursor to CBD, from hemp and convert it into THCa by rearranging its molecules, through a process called isomerization. However, with THCa flower, things are a bit different. In this case, the plant is actually cultivated to yield high levels of THCa.

What are the Effects of THCa?

The THCa products sold at Wild Orchard are supposed to be decarboxylated through heat – like vapes and flower, for example. This converts THCa into delta 9 THC, so what you’re actually consuming is delta 9. Delta 9 is the compound that dominates marijuana, and is responsible for its euphoric yet relaxing high and powerfully soothing body effects. People also say that delta 9 helps them with sleep, physical discomfort, appetite, nausea, and more.

What are Some Popular Types of THCa Products?

The THCa products that you’ll find at Wild Orchard are, again, products that are heated, to actually supply you with delta 9 THC. Those products include: • Vape carts • Disposable vapes • Flower (including pre-rolls) • Diamonds (a purified concentrate of THCa flower, for maximum strength)

Is THCa Legal, and Will it Stay Legal?

THCa is legal under federal law, as the law says that hemp products can be sold legally as long as they contain a maximum of 0.3% delta 9 THC. Even though THCa does turn into delta 9 when heated, it’s not considered THCa by law. Still, some states have banned THCa products, so you’ll want to check your state’s laws to be sure you’re legally allowed to purchase it.

What are Some Popular THCa Strains?

THCa can be combined with any terpene profile to offer all kinds of strain options, but some popular strains with which to pair THCa include: • Cookies • Rancher • Pandemic • Tiger Blood • Fruit Punch • Watermelon Splash

Will These THCa Products Cause Me to Fail a Drug Test?

THCa is legal, but please keep in mind that when you consume these products, you’re actually consuming delta 9 THC – a compound that will cause a failed drug test result. If you are going to be drug-tested soon, it’s best to abstain from THCa products.

Live Resin

What is Live Resin?

Live resin is a type of hemp extract that’s made from fresh, flash-frozen flower buds rather than dry-cured flower buds. As a result, it’s a lot more potent, as well as flavorful, and you can tell just by observing it dark color and thick consistency.

How is Live Resin Made?

When we purchase hemp flower, those buds have undergone a dry-curing process so that they can be preserved. But, this process takes away from the cannabinoid and terpene concentrations found in the buds’ trichomes, which is why live resin came along. Live resin is made through the same CO2 extraction process as “traditional” hemp extract, but rather than working with dry-cured flower, the flower is flash-frozen at the time of harvest so that its trichomes are as fresh and potent as possible.

What are the Effects of Live Resin?

Basically, live resin gives you all of the effects of full-spectrum hemp extract, only those effects are more potent.

What Types of Products Contain Live Resin?

Live resin can be used in lieu of “regular” hemp extract in any product, but you’ll most commonly see live resin used in vaping products. Live resin brings out the most desirable qualities in each strain, and even adds a ton to the flavor profile as well.

Do I Need to Dose Differently with Live Resin?

Live resin is more potent than standard extract, but that doesn’t mean that you need to be more careful with your dosing, necessarily. The effects are not so much stronger that you’ll feel overwhelmed by taking the same amount that you normally do.

Does Live Resin Need to Be Stored Differently?

You can store your live resin products just like you store your other hemp products – in other words, keep them in a cool, dark, and dry place to prevent oxidization from occurring, which destabilizes the product and makes those cannabinoids and terpenes break down, losing their effectiveness.

How Can I Know It’s Real Live Resin?

It’s rare for companies to sell fake live resin products, but one thing that you can do to be totally sure you’re getting the real deal is simply look at it. Like we said, live resin looks just like regular full-spectrum hemp extract, with the same type of aroma profile, only it’s darker in color, and its consistency is thicker – more like a syrup than an oil.

Edibles

How Do Edibles Work?

Edibles are any type of hemp product that is meant to be ingested. They work their way through the digestive tract before getting processed by the liver, at which point the compounds enter the bloodstream to deliver their effects to the body.

What Kinds of Edibles are There?

There are different kinds of edibles out there, including: • Gummies • Baked Goods • Beverages • Capsules • Chocolates • Mints

How Do I Take Edibles?

Edibles are super easy to take – that’s a big part of their appeal. Each individual serving contains an equal amount of the active ingredient, so that you don’t need to dose out yourself by counting or measuring. It’s always best to follow the directions on the product’s label.

How Long Until I’ll Feel the Effects of Edibles?

It can take up to 2 hours, or sometimes a little longer, to start feeling the effects of your edible. That’s because it can take a while for the product to work through the digestive tract before entering the bloodstream. And, if you’ve eaten a large meal before taking the product, that can extend the length of time before you finally feel the product working.

How Long Do the Effects of Edibles Last?

The effects of edibles last longer than any product type, and you can feel the effects for up to 8 hours. The exact length of time can depend on all kinds of things, like your metabolism, and your tolerance.

Are Delta 9 Edibles Legal?

The delta 9 edibles at Wild Orchard may seem like they should be illegal, but they’re not! They contain the legal limit of hemp-derived delta 9 THC, which is 0.3% by dry weight. Yet, they contain enough milligrams of delta 9 to produce the desired effects – like the high for which delta 9 THC is known.

How Should I Store My Edibles?

It’s important to store your edibles in the right way to make sure that they stay effective, and keep their delicious flavor. Keep them in an airtight container (the original container is just fine), and make sure they’re stored in a dark, dry, and cool place, like a cabinet, drawer, or cabinet, to prevent oxidization.

Disposable Vapes

How Should I Use My Disposable Vape?

Disposables are extremely user-friendly by design. Simply take your device out of the box and pull on the mouthpiece to take in a puff of vapor. For beginners, we recommend taking just one puff, but experienced users who have a better tolerance level can take several puffs per vaping session.

Why Doesn’t My Disposable Vape Work?

There are a few reasons why your disposable might not be working. If the device’s light isn’t turning on when you pull, you may need to recharge the battery – otherwise, your battery may be faulty, although this is incredibly rare. If the light turns on but you’re not getting any vapor, it could be that the cartridge is clogged. If that’s the case, take several short, strong pulls on the mouthpiece without inhaling, as this should break up the clog.

How Can I Charge My Disposable?

Eventually, you’ll need to recharge the battery of your disposable. To do that, attach the charge port at the bottom of the device to a micro-USB charger, and plug it into a nearby power source. When the light on the device indicates that the battery is done charging, remove the charger and use it again.

Can I Refill a Disposable?

No, you can’t refill a disposable device. These are not designed to be refilled, and trying to open up the cartridge can, and often does lead to breaking the device.

What’s in a Disposable Vape?

A disposable vape contains vape oil made up of cannabinoid distillate(s) and extracted hemp terpenes. Our disposables do not contain any filler ingredients or additives like VG, PG, or MCT oil.

How Do I Know if My Disposable Vape Needs to Be Replaced?

You’ll know that your disposable needs to be replaced when the vape oil runs out. The best way to know that your vape oil is running out is paying attention to the amount of vapor you’re getting, even with a fully charged battery. If you’re getting barely any vapor, that means it’s almost empty. You might also notice a burnt taste, and/or a harsh draw.

Are Disposable Vapes Safe?

Disposable vapes are no less safe than other vaping products made with hemp compounds. They are designed carefully to ensure that the technology is safe to use, and the actual act of vaping these compounds tends to be easier on the respiratory system than smoking cannabis.

What Do You Need in Order to Use a Vape Cartridge?

A vape cartridge is paired with a rechargeable vape pen that has a 510-threaded connection, and is generally intended for vaping cannabis cartridges – like the JINX FatBoy 510 Battery. The right vape pen for your cart is compact, and operates at a low output level, via a built-in battery. That’s because you need a vape pen that doesn’t get too hot, or it can burn the vape oil inside.

How Fast Does it Take to Feel the Effects of a Vape Cartridge?

Inhalation is the most bioavailable delivery method for cannabis compounds because of how easily these compounds absorb into the body through the lungs. Because of that, vaping offers super fast-acting effects compared to other product types like tinctures and edibles. You might feel the effects of your product within 15 minutes of vaping.

How Strong are a Vape Cart’s Effects?

Like we said, vaping is very bioavailable, because of the efficiency of inhaling cannabinoids and terpenes to maximize absorption into the bloodstream. This means that vape carts will give you overall stronger effects than other product types, which is a big reason why this type of product is so popular.

How Many Puffs Should I Take off of a Vape Cartridge?

That’s a great question, and it really comes down to the user’s tolerance and preferences. Beginners can get a worthwhile experience from just taking one puff of vapor, while experienced users may want to take several puffs until they feel satisfied – it’s all about finding what works for you.

What if My Vape Cart is Clogged?

If your battery is working and you’re not getting any vapor when you pull, your cartridge might be clogged. In that case, try pulling on the mouthpiece repeatedly without firing a hit, taking quick, short pulls, one after another. If that doesn’t work, try applying very gentle heat to the cartridge – like by holding a hairdryer about a foot away from the cartridge on the lowest setting. That can break up any potential crystallization that’s causing the clog.

Cartridges

What is a Vape Cartridge?

A vape cartridge is a small cartridge that’s pre-filled with vape oil, meant to attach to a rechargeable vape pen device. It contains a cannabinoid distillate and terpene extract, and comes in a variety of strains. It’s non-refillable, as it’s thrown out once it’s empty, and replaced with a new one.

What’s in a Vape Cartridge?

A vape cartridge usually contains only pure hemp-derived extracts: cannabinoid distillate and extracted hemp terpenes. At Wild Orchard Hemp, we don’t use fillers like PG, VG, MCT oil, or any other additives in our vape carts.

What Do You Need in Order to Use a Vape Cartridge?

Smokables

What is Flower?

Flower refers to the raw buds of the cannabis plant – in this case, hemp flower, which is federally legal (marijuana is not). These buds are harvested at just the right time to ensure they have a high concentration of desirable compounds like cannabinoids and terpenes that lend themselves to super enjoyable effects – not to mention great flavor. Flower comes in all kinds of strains, and is naturally full-spectrum.

Does Flower Contain Any Additives?

Flower should not contain any additives other than, in many cases, cannabinoid distillates, which are pure extracts of individual cannabinoids, which enhance the effects of the product. Third-party lab reports will tell you whether or not the flower is pure.

How Can I Use Flower?

Flower can be used in a few ways: • Smoking: Smoking flower is the most traditional method, and can be done using a pipe, a bong, rolling papers, etc. • Vaping: You can also vape flower if you purchase a dry herb vaporizer, which uses conduction or convection to heat the flower. • Baking/Cooking: Some people like to bake or cook with flower, to make their own edibles. This requires infusing the flower into a fat (usually butter) and using that fat in a recipe.

What’s the Best Dosage for Smoking or Vaping Flower?

When it comes to smoking or vaping flower, dosage really comes down to your tolerance and preferences. Beginners can be totally satisfied with just one puff of smoke or vapor, while experienced users typically enjoy several puffs in one session.

How is Flower Infused with Cannabinoids?

A lot of the flower we carry at Wild Orchard Hemp has been infused with a cannabinoid like delta 8 THC. To do this, we take delta 8 distillate – a purified delta 8 extract – and we soak our flower buds in this distillate until it’s absorbed enough to offer the right potency of the cannabinoid.

Is Flower Legal?

Flower is legal under federal law as long as it comes from hemp, and contains no more than 0.3% delta 9 THC by dry weight. But, check with your state’s laws, because hemp flower is banned in a small number of states.

How Should I Store My Flower?

It’s important to store your flower properly so that it stays fresh and effective, not to mention flavorful. Keep it in an airtight container when it’s not in use, like the container that it came in. Also, store it in a dark, dry, and cool area of your home, like a closet, a drawer, or a cabinet.

Strains

What is a Strain?

A strain refers to the breed or cultivar of a cannabis plant, which has a distinctive composition of cannabinoids and terpenes. Strains are most distinguished by their terpene profiles, as the configuration of the many terpenes in a single plant can play a major role in its effects, as well as its flavor and aroma. There are countless cannabis strains out there, with new ones being bred constantly by expert breeders.

What is an Indica Strain?

There are three types of strains. Indica strains are characterized by their higher concentrations of the terpene myrcene and are known for being “nighttime” strains as they can make the body feel lazy and relaxed, while having a calming effect on the mind.

What is a Sativa Strain?

Sativa strains have lower levels of myrcene, and higher levels of terpenes that are known for their uplifting effects. Sativa strains are great “daytime” strains because they can boost focus, creativity, and motivation, and they typically have a soothing body high that is non-drowsy.

What is a Hybrid Strain?

A hybrid strain is the result of crossing a sativa with an indica – or either with another hybrid – meaning that it has elements of both sativa and indica in its effects profile. Hybrid strains can be 50% indica/50% sativa, or up to 90%/10% sativa or indica-dominant. Naturally, the effects of hybrid strains tend to be somewhere in-between those of a sativa and an indica.

Can the Strain Really Make That Much of a Difference?

Yes! Many people underestimate just how much the strain plays a role in whether or not you feel satisfied. For instance, if you’re looking for a strain to help you feel energized and creative in the daytime, a heavy indica would probably be a bad choice as many people get sleepy from indica strains.

Can I Use More Than One Strain in a Day?

You absolutely can use more than one strain in a day. Maybe you end up finding a strain that’s great for your productivity levels early on in the day, and another strain that helps you relax in the evening. There’s no reason why you can’t enjoy different strains at different times in your routine.

What are Sub-Strains?

Sub-strains are simply leaning or dominant strains of the primary strain. They are the following: • Full Indica • Indica-Dominant • Indica-Leaning • India-Dominant Hybrid • Indica-Leaning Hybrid • Full Sativa • Sativa-Dominant • Sativa-Leaning • Sativa-Dominant Hybrid • Sativa-Leaning Hybrid • Balanced Hybrid
